Porsche claims that the Cayenne Diesel has an average consumption of 30.4mpg UK on the combined cycle that converts to 9.3 lt/100km or 25.3mpg US with emissions of 244g/km CO2.
The Cayenne's range will be further enhanced in 2010 with the introduction of a gasoline-hybrid version that's expected to exceed 31 mpg UK.

As you can see in the video below, the poor guys in the first Cayenne were attacked by the Russian SWAT team which released them a few minutes later after they realized their mistake. What's even more amazing is that the SWAT team cleared the scene in minutes and actually managed to catch the real criminals in the second Cayenne!
To put all that power on the road in a politically correct manner, Gemballa's engineers outfitted the Cayenne with a sports suspension that includes an adjustable coilover kit that allows the lowering of the car by up to 70mm. The Tornado 750 GTS rides on a set of extra light 22-inch alloy wheels shod in 335/25 Z22 high performance tires while stopping power is provided by a new braking system with 6-piston brake callipers and 420mm discs at the front axle and 4-piston brake callipers with 380mm discs at the rear axle. Inside, Gemballa opted for a four-seat layout while the cabin has been upgraded with new materials and a redesigned center console hosting the lifted gearbox and the Data Control System. The extensive engine mods include the increase of the V8's displacement from 4.8- to 5.0-liters and the fitment of fortified forged pistons, special connecting rods, racing turbochargers along with a new air intercooler plus a remapping of the ECU. The result is an impressive output of 750HP at 6,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 1,050Nm or 774-lbs/ft at 3200 rpm. The Tornado 750 GTS accelerates from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 300 km/h or 187mph.
On the outside, Gemballa's team turned the Cayenne into a vehicle that could easily have had a role in the movie Death Race. Aerodynamic accessories aside, one of the highlights is the bonnet which has been 'fused' with the front wings and now opens as a whole.

Using the Cayenne GTS as a base, the folks over at Porsche Design tastefully modded the SUV model beginning with the choice of the paintwork color, Lava Grey Metallic that is combined with pin stripes along the side and the bonnet of the vehicle and a set of 21-inch SportPlus alloy wheels in black.
The exterior appearance is rounded off by bi-xenon headlights, dark privacy glazing to the rear of the B-pillar, and the 'Cayenne GTS' model designation in black with a red "S" at the rear. An extended roof spoiler with a double wing profile is also available as a no-cost option.
Moving on inside, the Cayenne Porsche Design Edition 3 features black leather upholstery throughout, with red contrasting seams on the instrument panel and doors. There's also a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel while the front headrests display an embossed Porsche logo and the centre seat sections front and rear are finished in alcantara. The same material is also found on parts of the centre console, door trims and the complete roof lining.
Other highlights include the Carbon-fiber trim and a 'Porsche Design Edition 3' model designation on the rev counter, the front door sill kick plates and on a plate in the glove compartment with the serial number of the vehicle embossed on the surface.
There are no mechanical changes with the Porsche Design Cayenne retaining the GTS' 405HP 4.8-litre V8 and six-speed Tiptronic S transmission that launch the SUV from 0-62mph (100km/h) in 6.5 seconds, and on to a top speed of 156 mph or 251 km/h.
Like the preceding Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 and Boxster S Porsche Design Edition 2, every Cayenne GTS Porsche Design 3 comes with a set of Porsche Design accessories that include a chronograph watch and a four-piece luggage set bearing the 'Porsche Design Edition 3' label.
The base price for the Cayenne GTS Porsche Design 3 in the Euro area is € 79,100, with prices in Germany including tax and national specifications set at €94,344 and in the UK / Ireland, at £64,753. Porsche has not announced any details on the availability of the model in North America or any other international markets.
